So, my classmates are doing some amazing things and making Photoshop look easy. I, on the otherhand, have been struggling. Cropping was easy, the rest was a challenge. I finally succeeded in giving my granddaughter a Mickey Mouse nose. I wanted to also give her Mickey's shoes but gave up. Is there a key or tool that copies an object without having to outline it? And after you select it, do you need to fill it with a color or is there a tool that picks up the color too? Help!!!

Struggling with Photoshop

You have to use one of the selection tools in order to be able to copy anything. This is why they call them selection tools. Select all, marquee, magic wand, lasso. Use your Lasso tool to outline what you want to copy, (edit->copy) and then paste (edit->paste)into your new image.Do this for every part you want to transfer to your new image.
ReplyDeleteDon't give up my friend! We all feel frustration (at times) with learning new tools...keep playing around with it and it WILL get better.
ReplyDeleteStill learning with you,
Murph =)
I am also struggling with photoshop, went to the library today and got a book about it, that is how I will spend my day tomorrow figuring it out! I have played around a bit but am getting frustrated. Everyone who has posted and done an amazing job. Maybe a good night's sleep will give me new inspiration! Love the Mickey nose!
ReplyDeleteYes, don't give up. It's all new. we'll get through this. Really cute! Good idea on giving her a Mickey nose!
ReplyDeleteYou'll get there! Just keep on practicing and things will come more naturally to you.
